The holidays are right around the corner and I have a few d\u2019lish ideas for your favorite foodie \u2013 a local themed basket filled with handcrafted Pacific Northwest goodies!<\/p>\n

First off, a Sweet Basket: <\/strong>local chocolate bars (I love Fran’s Chocolate Gold Bars<\/a>), neighborhood honey like 5130 Honey<\/a> , salted caramel (Theo’s Chocolates’ caramel collection<\/a> are wonderful), and unique preserves (we will have lots like Apricot & Rose Geranium and Clementine Ginger Marmalade at our\u00a0Holiday Extravaganza<\/a>),\u00a0and cute little spoons to serve them up with.<\/p>\n

Next, a Savory Basket:<\/strong> local cheeses, cool pickles, herbed flat bread and crackers (Essential Baking Company<\/a> has a great selection!), and dried fruits, with fun cheese identification markers<\/a> for your fromage.<\/p>\n

For a Boozy Basket: <\/strong>p<\/strong>ackage a bottle of local spirit like one of our Washington herbaceous gins or white whiskeys to age yourself (like this one from Woodinville Whiskey Co.<\/a>), tuck in a couple of cool cocktail glasses, a bottle of unique local bitters<\/a> and your favorite cocktail book \u2013 maybe even my Sips and Apps (75% off special deal on ebook versions<\/a>!)
